Over the past four years, there has been an extensive process in which Hofseth has spent over NOK 30 million, and where Fjord municipality has also contributed many resources to comply with requirements from the Planning and Building Act, the State Administrator, Møre og Romsdal County Council, the Directorate for Mineral Management, the National Antiquities, among others. The municipality has nevertheless not succeeded in getting the last objections withdrawn, and the municipal council has now decided that the area plan must therefore be sent for political consideration. The project has great political support locally and regionally, and it is expected that it will take between 6 and 12 months to receive an answer from the political processing in the ministry.
